Evesham In Bloom

After a gap of four years the Evesham in Bloom team chaired by Diana Repeal decided to re-enter Evesham into the national Britain in Bloom competition. At short notice a team comprising of local volunteers, Evesham Town Council, Wychavon District Council and Evesham Market Town Partnership came together and judging took place in July. The results were announced in September and Evesham was awarded Silver Guilt (one below first prize) which was a spectacular achievement in such a relatively short time.

The Evesham in Bloom team are dedicated to helping make Evesham a more beautiful place to be for its residents and for the many thousands of visitors to Evesham town and the local area.

As well as an entry into the national competition it was agreed that local competitions would also be organised to encourage schools, public buildings, private homes and businesses to get into the floral spirit.

The response was overwhelming and Evesham looked even more beautiful throughout the summer months of 2011. Plans are already being developed for next year and the intention is to defiantly go for Gold! Well done to all who participated.
